Volunteer Nordic ski patrols play an important function in the backcountry ski community. They work with the USDA Forest Service providing winter ski safety services. They supply emergency first aide, undertake search and rescue, and disseminate information.
As a patroller you will learn about first aide, search and rescue, avalanche safety and much more. You will be part of a dedicated organization and be eligible for equipment discounts. Best of all you will have fun in the winter backcountry.
